Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council
In 2021, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council were awarded £23.2m from the central government ‘Towns Fund’ in response to their proposed plan for the Nuneaton ‘Town Deal’. We were successful in receiving £1.8m from the Town Deal to support the growth of our Saints Central Project.
The funding from the Nuneaton Town Deal has enabled the purchase of the Saints Central Property by Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, which has been leased to Together for Change for 25 years for a peppercorn rent.
This will go a long way towards the long-term sustainability of our project, by reducing our running costs and enabling greater income generation from the centre. As a social enterprise, any extra income we generate is continually fed back into the project, therefore this improvement in our income generation will ultimately further our mission of creating a place that uplifts and supports the people of Nuneaton.
The funds that we received from the Nuneaton Town Deal have also supported Phase 2 of our building restoration project, the refurbishment of the former ballroom on the first floor of the Saints Central building. These works began in October 2024, and have recently come to completion.
On the 7th April 2025, we held a grand opening and dedication for the renamed ‘George Müller Hall’, in the presence of the Mayor and Mayoress of Nuneaton and Bedworth, and His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Warwickshire.

"Saints has firmly established itself as a valuable community asset in the heart of Nuneaton and has been identified as having an annual social value of £8.6 million. This next phase will now enable the project to further its reach to the community and support the people of Nuneaton. We are so grateful for the continued partnership from Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and the funds that were granted through the Transforming Nuneaton Pathfinders board."
